Wolverhampton City Primary Care Trust is a statutory organisation and is responsible for allocating funding for health care for Wolverhampton citizens, commissioning health services, improving the health of the local community and integrating local health and social care to improve services for patients.
The PCT provides community health care such as school nursing, district nursing, health visiting, learning disability services, mental health, contraception and sexual health, hearing services, chiropody, rehabilitation, dental care, addiction services, speech and language therapy, physiotherapy and occupational therapy. It also manages primary care which are services provided by the GPs, pharmacists, dentists and opticians
